Klaus
Langenbach, President
Klaus has been breeding German Shepherds for more than 30 years. He founded
his kennel "Vom Geisterholz” 1975 in Germany and moved with
his kennel and his great V1 female "Jane vom Kristallsee"
in 2004 from Germany to Florida. Since then, he breeds German Shepherds
from German bloodlines in Florida. His female "Jane" is now
retired from breeding but goes with Klaus as a Therapy - Team bi-weekly
to the Children's Hospital in Ft. Myers where the kids have a lot of fun
petting the dog. The young V - female "Betty" has
taken over the breeding part. Learn more about Klaus and his German Shepherd

Paula Lynch, Secretary
My husband and I made Florida our permanent home in 2002. I am currently
the Office Manager and Medical Coder for Pelletier Physical Therapy in
Cape Coral. In addition to our human family, we have two young German
Shepherd females and three Siamese cats…and yes, that works well!
The elder female "Samba" became a member of our family in July
2008 and the younger female "Echo" became a member of the family
in December 2008 after our beloved German Shepherd "Yutah" lost
her short battle with cancer. The two young dogs are now our fourth
and fifth German Shepherds. We joined the GCSC to train and socialize
our dogs, and we were fortunate enough to make great friends in the process.

Dr.
Matthew Sperzel Treasurer
Matthew is a dentist living in Naples, FL. His first German Shepherd was
the family dog when he was a child. Having that positive experience in
his formative years has made him partial to the breed. In 2010 he acquired
another German Shepherd which he has been training with the club. He has
always been fascinated by the other species with which we share this planet,
and dogs in particular which have a unique coexistence with people. He
claims that the Gulf Coast Schutzhund Club of Ft. Myers has opened up
a whole new world of comradeship and learning. He further states that
the mutually beneficial relationship between humans and dogs is epitomized
in the sport of schutzhund and that it is a pleasure to participate.

Richard
Carney, Sergeant at Arms
Rich Carney is a Realtor in Cape Coral. Prior to moving to the Cape, Rich
and his family lived in New Jersey. He was always intrigued by the German
Shepherd breed. After much research and consideration, he and his eldest
son decided to embark on a journey to find a reputable breeder, as well
as a means of training the dog. In doing so, they found the Gulf Coast
Schutzhund Club. After several training sessions, he knew he was hooked.
Along with his eldest son, he has two younger sons and to his surprise
they too have a profound interest in the sport of Schutzhund. Rich looks
forward to working with the other club members to learn as much as possible,
as the club has much to offer.

Edward
Wisniefski, Training Coordinator
My wife Linda and I moved to Cape Coral, FL in 2006 after retiring from
a 34 year career in Law Enforcement. I also served in the military for
20 years and retired as a Captain in the Army Reserve. We currently have
Ghost our male German Shepherd which was bred in Germany. Ghost is the
6th German Shepherd dog to join our family in the past 26 years. We joined
the GCSC after meeting Klaus and adopting Ghost from one of his litters.
Since joining the club we have met new friends and look forward to training
and socializing our dog.
