Klaus Langenbach, PresidentKlaus Langenbach, President
Klaus has been breeding German Shepherds for more than 30 years. He founded his kennel "Vom Geisterholz” 1975 in Germany and moved with his kennel and his great V1 female "Jane vom Kristallsee" in 2004 from Germany to Florida. Since then, he breeds German Shepherds from German bloodlines in Florida. His female "Jane" is now retired from breeding but goes with Klaus as a Therapy - Team bi-weekly to the Children's Hospital in Ft. Myers where the kids have a lot of fun petting the dog.  The young V - female "Betty" has taken over the breeding part. Learn more about Klaus and his German Shepherd Breeding here www.germanshepherdflorida.com

Dr. Timothy Hughes, Vice President
Tim presently works as a gynecologic surgeon in Fort Myers. He and his family participate in club activities with their German Shepherd Dog Juno. Juno is bred from European GSD lines from “Vom Steinhauerberg” Kennels in Switzerland. In addition to his present practice, Tim has served as a Major in the U.S. Air Force as a Flight Surgeon and has also worked in the areas of Forensics and Death Investigation prior to moving to Florida in 2005. He and his family have enjoyed working and learning the sport of Schutzhund and look forward to a prosperous and training-focused club.

Paula Lynch, Secretary
My husband and I made Florida our permanent home in 2002. I am currently the Office Manager and Medical Coder for Pelletier Physical Therapy in Cape Coral. In addition to our human family, we have two young German Shepherd females and three Siamese cats…and yes, that works well! The elder female "Samba" became a member of our family in July 2008 and the younger female "Echo" became a member of the family in December 2008 after our beloved German Shepherd "Yutah" lost her short battle with cancer. The two young dogs are now our fourth and fifth German Shepherds. We joined the GCSC to train and socialize our dogs, and we were fortunate enough to make great friends in the process.

Paula Brock, TreasurerPaula Brock, Treasurer
Paula resides in Naples, FL with her husband Devin and became affiliated with the club after meeting Klaus and adopting two female German Shepherd puppies from two of his litters. “Sammi” has really enjoyed the puppy training and “Elke” is just a beginner. Paula is a graduate of Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame and is currently working as an Office Manager for the District School Board of Collier County.

Daniel Smith, Training Coordinator
Dan resides in Cape Coral with his wife Sharon. He has owned and worked German Shepherd Dogs most of his life. Dan has over 27 years Law Enforcement experience and is a graduate of the Eastern Michigan University School of Police Staff & Command. Dan assisted in training several Police K-9's during his career under the direction of Terry & Diana Schoenbach, Master Trainers of the K-9 Academy. Dan is enjoying the transition from training Police K-9's to training dogs and handlers in the sport of Schutzhund under the guidance of Klaus Langenbach and Friedel Fruehauf. He is looking forward to champion dogs coming from the GCSC.

Edward Wisniefski, Sergeant at Arms
My wife Linda and I moved to Cape Coral, FL in 2006 after retiring from a 34 year career in Law Enforcement. I also served in the military for 20 years and retired as a Captain in the Army Reserve. We currently have Ghost our male German Shepherd which was bred in Germany. Ghost is the 6th German Shepherd dog to join our family in the past 26 years. We joined the GCSC after meeting Klaus and adopting Ghost from one of his litters. Since joining the club we have met new friends and look forward to training and socializing our dog.

Friedel Fruehauf, Board Consultant
Friedel is the absolute expert of German Shepherd Dogs in our club. During the summer, Friedel lives in Germany where he is the President of the German Shepherd Dog Club in Winnweiler/Germany for over 35 years!  He has bred a lot of litters, and he has arranged a German Shepherd Confirmation Show in Germany every year for over 35 years now. Friedel has been Co-Judge on several Sieger Shows in Germany.  Friedel lives in Naples, FL from October through April, and he comes on Sundays to train the trainers of our club. We have all learned (and are still learning) so much from him.
